This week’s special topic for CIDA is collaboration. Just this past week here at Ogletree Design Tim and I had to collaborate on the shed project. We went over the materials takeoff together and redid some of the math and he added in a few materials and items as well. The price for this was pretty high so he and I are going to have to back through and see where we can save some money. We basically need to cut it in half, but I’m sure Roy has some pointers for us that will reduce materials cost. The shed is designed as a fully insulated, all wood structure with a pair of French doors so I’m just assuming that’s why the price is so high. The clients mentioned they liked the reclaimed wood look so maybe we can find some reclaimed materials that would suit both of our needs. Anyhow, that’s about it on this end of the spectrum.
